Certified Indoor Cycling Instructor
Karen Iby-Patricia has had a lifelong passion for sports, health and wellness. MAX, MAX, MAX your heart rate is her credo.
Exercise has always been an outlet, especially indoor cycling where her participants usually leave drenched in sweat, but happy. She has been teaching indoor cycling since 2001 and currently teaches 3 indoor cycling/strength training classes weekly at Inspire Fitness.
Teaching and training come naturally and as an adjunct lecturer at Binghamton University, Karen has had the good fortune to be able to bring her love of fitness and indoor cycling to students in the Health and Wellness Department.
Karen is also an AFAA Certified Personal Trainer. Nothing gives her more pleasure than working one on one with individuals and helping them gain confidence and control over their well-being. “There is nothing more satisfying as a personal trainer and a teacher than seeing that light go on in a person’s eyes when they realize they really can do whatever they set their mind to.”
A softball player since the age of nine, she also played on her high school varsity team and spent many years playing co-ed indoor soccer.
Karen was a former sportscaster for her college radio station, did the play by play for the Blue Devils Men’s Basketball team at Central Connecticut State University where she graduated with a B.S. in Communications.
In addition, Karen Iby was the Health and Medbreak Reporter for WBNG-TV12 for eight years where she had the freedom to investigate health and wellness related topics that she thought relevant to the viewing audience.
